In most of the U.S., we switched to Daylight Savings Time (DST) last Monday and most of us probably slept one hour less. Incidents of heart attacks, strokes, and fatal vehicle crashes increase the Monday after the start of DST by 10% to 20% compared to two weeks prior or after. On Tuesday, the U.S. Senate passed legislation to make DST permanent but the House of Representatives has yet to take on the bill. Nothing major happened to me, except that I forgot to take my laptop when driving to the office on Monday. How about you? Did you notice any effects on you or those around you?
